Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Lecturer in Automotive Technology to join the team. This role is ideal for a qualified Automotive Technician/Engineer with a passion for the subject and a commitment to high-quality education. You will play a key role in contributing to the design and delivery of our curriculum, assisting with the growth and development of our provision.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and deliver engaging and informative lessons in Automotive Technology.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Engage with students to inspire and motivate them in the field of Automotive Technology.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the automotive industry to ensure relevance and accuracy in teaching.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical & Professional Qualifications:
    • Minimum of Level 3 in Automotive/MV or relevant industry experience.
    • Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Up-to-date, broad-based knowledge of the automotive subject area.
    • Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity.
  • Relevant and recent industrial experience.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed) and teaching experience.
