Classroom Link are working with our partner school based in NG13. The school is a specialist setting for children who present with social and emotional mental health (SEMH). The school has recently undergone a huge refurbishment and has a new sports hall, gym, music studio and animal therapy locations.

The role will be full time (8:30-4:15) and permanent. The school are looking to appoint people as soon as possible due to growing pupil numbers.

They are looking for individuals who have:

  • Experience working with people who present with SEN
  • A compassionate approach to working with youngsters
  • A relevant qualification or degree
  • The ability to build relationships with children
  • A calming nature and can de-escalate situations

The main duties will involve:

  • Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who present with SEN
  • Leading small intervention groups around English & maths
  • Building relationships with children who struggle to engage in lessons
  • Using sensory areas in school to help reduce anxiety when necessary
  • Liaising with senior staff in schools around pupil progress
