This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and adding value through clear, meaningful financial insight that drives business performance.This role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the head office in Bournemouth.The role:As a key finance contact for development budgeting, you’ll take ownership of annual and initial budgets for new property developments, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and strategic alignment. Sitting at the heart of decision-making, this role offers cross-departmental exposure and the chance to shape outcomes through analysis and stakeholder engagement.Your core responsibilities as the Budgeting Analyst will include:
  • Preparing and managing annual development budgets.
  • Analysing cost assumptions, identifying trends and delivering insight that informs strategy.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with operational, commercial, and finance teams to shape robust and realistic budgets.
  • Maintaining system integrity and data accuracy across budgeting platforms.
  • Driving process improvement and best practice in budgeting and financial reporting.
What We’re Looking For:You’re not just technically skilled – you’re a natural communicator with the confidence to challenge and the clarity to explain complex data. You enjoy variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are always on the lookout for ways to improve how things are done.
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or QBE with strong, relevant budgeting experience).
  • Proven experience preparing complex budgets and supporting financial planning.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience – Power BI, Qube, or Adaptive Insights would be a bonus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A curious mindset, high attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
