Inventory Controller Job in Bournemouth

We are proud to be working with a thriving local client who operate on an international scale. They are recruiting an Inventory Controller role, where you will be a key member of the logistics team. The Inventory Controller role will be primarily responsible for overseeing various logistics functions relating to the International division. In addition, there will be management of specific clients’ stock through the warehouse and logistic providers.

Salary and Benefits:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with various international distributors, clients and manufacturers as required
  • Collate international distributor stock forecasts and process in accordance with client/manufacturer requirements to ensure all stakeholders goals are achieved
  • Liaise with UK clients and the UK logistics provider with regards to required stock levels
  • Place purchase orders with manufacturers and clients where required
  • Investigate and reconcile stock and order queries
  • Liaise with National Accounts and Marketing Managers over future stock requirements
  • Ensure that client’s stock is rotated correctly prior to delivery to customers
  • Produce monthly stock reports for clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients and logistics providers

Minimum Skills and Experience Required:

  • A background in demand planning/stock control function as part of a logistics team
  • The ability to coordinate the international distribution of a number of products / brands from point of manufacture to end customer
  • The ability to the manage, order and reconcile a portfolio of FMCG products across multiple suppliers/clients
  • Ability to analyse sales trend data in order to improve the forecasting and demand process
  • Ability to use Excel to an intermediate level in order to facilitate international sales forecasting and shipment demand planning, sales data manipulation and manage reporting requirements
