A successful and rapidly expanding business within the aerospace sector is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Instructor, to join the team in the Bournemouth area  You RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of civil/military ATC procedures, Air Defence/Fighter Control techniques, and international ATM standards (ICAO, Eurocontrol, FAA) to ensure product relevance and compliance
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor capabilities to inform product development opportunities and enhance simulation functionality and customer usability
  • Ensuring accurate translation of customer requirements into system designs, specifications, and simulations, working closely with Engineering and Project teams through all development phases
  • Supporting bid and proposal activity by validating functional compliance, analysing RFPs, estimating development costs, and advising on engineering change impacts
  • Representing the company during on-site engagements, acting as a liaison with customers to gather and clarify requirements and ensure functional specifications are agreed and maintained
  • Providing internal consultation, contributing to training delivery, and ensuring quality and specification data aligns with company QMS standards
  • Designing and delivering simulator training courses for diverse user groups in the UK and internationally, aligned to customer needs and product developments
  • Developing training materials and estimates, supporting sales and marketing efforts (demos, exhibitions, bids), and identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Conducting training evaluations and gathering feedback to ensure customer satisfaction, while maintaining professional expertise in ATM, ABM, and Airside Operations
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Qualification or license relating to Air Traffic Control, or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong managerial and planning skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, training methods and ATC simulation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and competent with other IT systems
  • Willing and able to travel internationally for customer engagements
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Operational ATC experience and practical understanding of international ATC procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, including documenting real-time ATC requirements
  • Exposure to simulation systems/procedure development and experience advising on international ATC practices
  • Experience in ATC training and simulation delivery
