Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bournemouth. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, ideal for someone who thrives in inclusive educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including learning delays and behavioural challenges
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or care setting
  • Understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils' individual needs

Desirable:

  • Experience in Key Stage 1 or 2
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support
