We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN/SEMH Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive specialist school in Bournemouth. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher with a strong understanding of SEN and a desire to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver tailored, creative, and engaging lessons to small groups of pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Develop and adapt learning materials to support individual education plans (IEP's and EHCP's)
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Patience, empathy and resilience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

What Prospero would love from you:

  • Additional training in Team Teach, or other SEMH-specific interventions.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Excellent behaviour management strategies
