Hours of work - Mon to Thursday - 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am & Fridays 6am -11.30am/11.30am-5pm

Rate - Up to 16.41ph

Overview:

The Thrive Group Wakefield have a great opportunity for skilled Lithographic Pre Press operator who will be responsible for supply to UV metal print, ideally with technical experience of pre-press operations. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERINCE WORKING IN THE PRINT/PRESS ENVIRONMENT

Responsibilities:

  • Quality checks on customer files against information provided.
  • Setting and Running of both hardware & software to develop lithography plates to correct specifications.
  • PDF File checks & preparation including imposition to make the file print ready.
  • Managing plate output for printing.
  • Ensuring all required information & specifications supplied to print are correct.
  • Digital job data management to maintain file records.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained & calibrated to the highest level ensuring optimum performance.
  • Ensuring equipment and environment is operated and cared for, meeting all current Health & Safety legislation and conforming to company standards.
  • Ink mixing is exact to approved formulas, guaranteeing service.
  • Storage & upkeep of approved print samples.
  • Minimising all forms of waste.
  • Continuously improving in process checks, eliminating unnecessary costs from the business.
  • Provide feedback errors to relevant departments in a timely manner.

Required Skills/Education/Qualifications:

  • Computer literate.
  • Previous experience in lithographic printing workflows.
  • Experience of colour separations.
  • Proficiency in key design and pre-press software, including the Adobe Suite.
  • A good understanding of colour management in print is advantageous.
  • The candidate must have great attention to detail.
  • Friendly, approachable and flexible - a team player
