Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming referrals, ensuring accurate data entry into the system.
- Send correspondence to referrers and service users regarding referral outcomes.
- Follow up with referrers to obtain missing information and occasionally take telephone referrals.
- Build and maintain positive, empathetic relationships with families, therapists, and external professionals.
- Liaise with the clinical lead to assess and determine referral suitability.
- Provide information about the service and signpost to alternative support services when appropriate.
- Escalate safeguarding or mental health concerns to the appropriate manager and follow internal protocols.
- Maintain and update Excel trackers and case management systems.
- Take minutes during meetings as required.
- Manage and respond to emails in the service inbox.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Confident, capable, and resilient under pressure.
- Experience in a social care, education, or healthcare setting.
- Good understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
