Packing Assistant Manager
Location: Bradford, BD4
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and organized Packing Assistant Manager to support the Packing Manager in overseeing daily packing operations. The role ensures all products are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, safely, and efficiently. You will help lead the team, maintain quality standards, and coordinate resources to meet production and delivery targets, all while upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Packing Manager in leading and supervising the packing team.
- Ensure all customer orders are packed accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor team performance and maintain a steady, productive workflow.
- Train and support team members on packing procedures and hygiene standards.
- Enforce all food safety regulations, including HACCP compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Help set up the packing area at the start of each shift.
- Support shift planning and cover staff absences or holidays as required.
- Monitor packaging material stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Investigate and resolve packing errors to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Logistics, and Quality Control teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform hands-on packing duties when necessary.
- Ensure accurate completion of order paperwork and documentation.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive working environment.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a chilled environment (0–5°C) to maintain product freshness and safety. Appropriate PPE (e.g., warm workwear, gloves, protective footwear) will be provided. Candidates must be comfortable working in colder conditions and able to maintain focus and efficiency.
Working Hours:
- Sunday: 12pm – 11pm
- Monday: 12pm – 8pm
- Tuesday: 1pm – 12am
- Wednesday: 12pm – 8pm
- Thursday: 12pm – 8pm
- Friday: 12pm – 8pm
- Saturday: No packing
