Product Design Engineer - Braintree - Up to 38,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits
A long-standing client in Braintree is recruiting a Product Design Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a key role for someone looking to lead design and R&D projects, improve manufacturing processes, and drive innovation across the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve and standardise manufacturing processes
- Support R&D and new product development
- Create and manage tooling, fixtures, and CAD drawings (SolidWorks)
- Maintain ERP system data and process documentation
- Drive continuous improvement and support tech integration
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering
- Experience with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred - training provided)
- Knowledge of metal cutting, tooling, Lean, and Six Sigma
- Strong maths and precision measurement skills (imperial/metric)
- Excellent communication and organisation across all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
