Assure Personnel are supporting a market-leading manufacturer of high-specification fire doors in Braintree, Essex, to recruit for an Estimator. Play a key role in the continued success of a trusted and respected brand in the industry!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fire door manufacturing projects

  • Liaise with the buying department to source current material prices and lead-times

  • Review tender documents and construction drawings to update or re-quote as needed

  • Manage a personal quote log and handle multiple tender enquiries simultaneously

  • Attend pre-project and tender meetings when required

  • Contribute value engineering (VE) options to improve competitiveness

  • Keep up to date with industry certifications and technical developments

  • Support and train junior staff as required

  • Produce handover documentation following purchase order receipt

  • Liaise with internal teams, including project management, on technical and project-specific matters

  • Support the Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager in supervisory tasks when needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in estimating, preferably in manufacturing or construction (not essential).

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholder engagement

  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with tender documentation and costing processes

  • A proactive, organised, and independent work approach
