Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced standalone IT Manager to oversee and develop our IT infrastructure, systems, and processes within a dynamic furniture manufacturing environment. Based in Braintree, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our operational, production, and administrative functions through effective IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Strategy & Management:
    • Develop and implement the company's IT strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Manage the day-to-day operation of all IT systems (hardware, software, and networks).
  • Systems & Infrastructure:
    • Maintain and upgrade ERP and MRP systems used in production planning and inventory management.
    • Ensure the smooth running of IT systems including servers, workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
    • Oversee cybersecurity measures to protect company data and assets.
  • Support & Training:
    • Provide hands-on technical support to staff across all departments.
    • Train staff on new software or systems, promoting best practices.
    • Maintain internal documentation for IT procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
    • Regularly back up data and test disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and manufacturing software (ERP/MRP).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cybersecurity protocols and data protection compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
