Construction Contracts Manager - Passive Fire Protection - National Organisation - Essex - £52k-£75k (DoE)

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Construction Contracts Manager, ideally with knowledge / experience of Passive Fire Protection, to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing passive fire protection companies.

Based in offices in Brentwood, you will responsible for managing construction contracts from Receipt of Order to client handover, including management of operatives and suppliers, for installation compliance and health and safety on site. The Fire Door / PFP Contracts Manager will also be responsible for pricing and quoting enquiries.

The role requires effective communication with the ability to engage personnel within the organisation and extensive liaison with clients, suppliers and operatives. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively and within in a team are also required.

Key responsibilities as the PFP Construction Contracts Manager will include:

  • Overseeing the Contract Pre-Start process
  • Confirming scope of work
  • Coordinating documentation and health and safety requirements including producing RAMS/CH&SPP’s in line with site and task requirements
  • Ensuring materials and plant/equipment requirements are specified
  • Identifying labour needs (numbers, roles, qualifications) and ensuring labour is allocated.
  • Managing site labour and subcontractors
  • Overseeing site briefings
  • Liaising with clients and client representatives from pre-start to handover
  • Undertaking site visits, collating information for pricing purposes
  • Liaising with manufacturers / suppliers on equipment, pricing and availability
  • Conducting quality and health & safety site audits

What we’re looking for:

  • Construction contract management experience is essential
  • Experience in Passive Fire Protection / Fire Doors is highly desirable / advantageous
  • Experience in coordinating construction contract documentation and producing RAMS/CH&SPPs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • IT literate with strong MS Office skills
