Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Document Controller to join a well-regarded construction company in Brentwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of documents and records within the organisation. This role is crucial in ensuring that all documentation is accurate, accessible, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Document Controller will collaborate with various departments to facilitate efficient document management processes.

Duties

  • Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and hard copy documents.
  • Ensure all documents are reviewed, approved, and stored according to company standards.
  • Implement document control procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
  • Conduct regular reviews of document management processes and suggest improvements as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to staff on document control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor document revisions and ensure that the latest versions are readily available to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in document control or a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient in using document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to document management is advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
