Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging and interactive lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of students.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Faculty to align your teaching with the academy's objectives.
  • Drive academic progress through consistent feedback and personalised support.
  • Regularly assess and track student performance through tests, assignments, and feedback.
  • Offer additional help and resources to students who may need extra assistance to grasp complex concepts.
  • Adhere to School rules, policies, and procedures while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Requirements

  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS: You must be a qualified Teacher with experience in teaching Geography.
  • Enhanced DBS: An up-to-date DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage (KS4) students.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Engagement: A passion for making Geography come alive for students and inspiring them to aim higher.
