Carbon60 is seeking a talented Tool Development Engineer to join their Clients team in Broughton. If you have a passion for manufacturing, engineering, and supporting the ramp-up of production, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Tool Develoment Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects. This will involve creating, developing, and modifying these assets until final acceptance and handover to the corresponding Operations Team. You will also collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate the company's Industrial Vision.
Key responsibilities of the Tool Development Engineer role include:
- Designing and/or specifying the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements
- Contributing to CDT MFT for production investigations, utilising your tooling and metrology skill set
- Defining the certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification process, features, and schedule for Jigs and Tools
- Producing Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments and Acceptance Reports
- Delivering the Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data set
To be successful in this Tool Development Engineer role, you will need:
- Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and activities, making daily business decisions
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems
- Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures
- Understanding of relationships and interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivation and leadership abilities
