We are working with a number of secondary schools in the Bridgen area who are seeking reliable and proactive Cover Supervisors to manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience in the secondary education sector and make a positive impact on students' learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising students carrying out pre-prepared work in a variety of subjects.
- Maintaining a calm, orderly, and purposeful learning environment.
- Implementing effective classroom management strategies to ensure good behaviour and engagement.
- Responding to students' questions and offering guidance where appropriate (within the scope of the pre-set work).
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the relevant member of staff.
- Following school policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to command respect.
- Be confident, adaptable, and able to use their own initiative.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Have a genuine interest in working with young people.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable but not essential.
- A calm and patient approach.
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
