About the Role

As a Payroll Administrator , you will play a vital role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services for our UK-based population of approximately 8,000. Working closely with our third-party payroll provider, this role ensures that all payroll-related activities are completed efficiently, compliantly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in end-to-end payroll administration to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

路 Administer the UK payroll process in collaboration with the third-party payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely processing of monthly pay for 8,000 employees.

路 Validate and audit payroll data including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and statutory deductions.

路 Ensure all payroll inputs are submitted and approved in line with internal deadlines.

路 Reconcile payroll reports and support the sign-off process.

路 Respond to payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner.

路 Liaise with internal HR, Finance, and external partners to resolve discrepancies.

路 Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and internal controls.

路 Support year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and benefit reporting.

路 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in payroll processes and systems.

路 Maintain up-to-date payroll process documentation.

Key Competencies

路 Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.

路 High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

路 Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly and professionally.

路 Strong organisational and time management skills.

路 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

路 Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

路 Experience working with third-party payroll providers and/or integrated HR/payroll systems (e.g., ADP) is desirable.

Qualifications & Certifications

Essential:

路 Minimum 2 years of UK payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.

Desirable:

路 CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification or working towards it.

路 Knowledge of SAP or similar platforms.

路 Experience in large-scale payroll operations.

Salary: 拢28 - 拢36,000 per annum
