Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate from the Manufacturing industry with advanced Excel skills.

We are currently recruiting for a valued Reed client based in Bridgnorth. An opportunity has arisen for a confident Assistant Accountant to join this experienced team on a permanent basis. The successful Assistant Accountant will work closely with a qualified Accountant to complete senior tasks as well as be trusted to manage their own parts of the process!

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Prepare monthly costing information and assist with monthly sales and financial reporting.
  • Handle accruals, prepayments, cost allocation and other general ledger journals.
  • Conduct reconciliation of the trial balance and assist with cost centre variance reporting.
  • Support annual and internal audits, stock takes, and ad-hoc financial analysis, projects, and initiatives as required by management.

Ideally, You Will:

  • Be fully AAT qualified or hold a relevant degree, such as Accounting & Finance
  • Be a confident user of Microsoft Excel as this will be used on a daily basis. Experience with V-Lookups and SUMIFs is essential.
  • Be a friendly character that is keen to get on with the team!
  • This team have a very low staff turnover, we’re looking for someone that would like to stay long term and grow with the business!
