Responsibilities:
- Managing and directing a team of mechanical, electrical and C&I technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability.
- Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages.
- Managing the departments maintenance budget.
- Oversee the management of the maintenance schedule.
- Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance including work orders, PPMs and planned and unplanned outages and inspections.
- Overseeing on site contractors.
- Deputising for the Plant Manager when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation but industries such as chemical production, aggregate or similar.
- Practical understanding of boilers, steam generation, pressure parts and associated equipment.
- Experience with managing a team/department budget.
- Experience in a management or supervisory level role.
- IOSH or NEBOSH would be preferred but isnt essential.
- A background in power generation/biomass/EFW is essential.
