We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our Energy from Waste client in Bridgwater. Energy from waste (EfW) is a process that converts non-recyclable waste into usable energy, such as electricity, heat, or transport fuels.

Permanent Role
Monday to Friday, 08.00 16.00

Responsibilities:
  • Managing and directing a team of mechanical, electrical and C&I technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability.
  • Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages.
  • Managing the departments maintenance budget.
  • Oversee the management of the maintenance schedule.
  • Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance including work orders, PPMs and planned and unplanned outages and inspections.
  • Overseeing on site contractors.
  • Deputising for the Plant Manager when required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation but industries such as chemical production, aggregate or similar.
  • Practical understanding of boilers, steam generation, pressure parts and associated equipment.
  • Experience with managing a team/department budget.
  • Experience in a management or supervisory level role.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH would be preferred but isnt essential.
  • A background in power generation/biomass/EFW is essential.
