About the RoleThis is a dynamic role where you’ll work with children and families who are:

Subject to Child Protection Plans
Involved in Care Proceedings, Private Law Proceedings, or Adoption
Requiring support at Child in Need level or through Section 47 Enquiries

You’ll be responsible for progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences, carrying out in-depth assessments, and supporting children through to permanence planning – all while building strong working relationships with agencies like health, education, and the police.The team works closely with Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help services, ensuring children and families continue to receive the right support even after social care involvement ends.?? Key Responsibilities

Complete CIN reviews and re-assessments, stepping cases up or down where appropriate
Carry out DoLS assessments for Children in Care
Use your expertise to assess risk, protection, and care needs
Create and manage individual care plans that are inclusive, empowering, and effective
Maintain high-quality, up-to-date records and case documentation
Provide support and guidance to students and unqualified staff

?? About YouThe ideal candidate will be:? Registered with Social Work England? 4+ years qualified, with solid experience in children and family social work? Confident in working with vulnerable families and complex safeguarding cases? Knowledgeable of relevant legislation, policy, and best practice? A strong communicator and natural relationship builder? Skilled in working across multi-disciplinary teams? Driven to deliver sustainable positive outcomes for children and families??
