Reed Sales & Marketing are incredibly excited to be representing a nationally established Gas & Chemical supplier in their search for a Commercial Manager!

Based in East Yorkshire, this is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded individual to take on a critical position within a successful and growing business. This role is all about improving efficiency, planning strategically and delivering organic growth both internally and externally.

This role will have a specific focus on the supply-chain department, so any experience within this industry will also be a strong positive for this role.

  • Basic Wage: £38,000 (up to £43,000 after probationary period)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for commercial growth, product development and internal efficiencies.
  • Work with and support the sales, marketing and supply chain departments
  • Negotiate and manage supplier and customer agreements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and profitability
  • Track KPIs for each department and present commercial performance to the Commercial Director
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid experience in a commercial and supply chain environment (ideally 5+ years)
  • Comfortable analysing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Familiar with CRM and project management software
  • Comfortable with data management (Excel, Power BI)
  • Able to work independently and hit the ground running
  • Problem-solving mindset and results driven approach
  • Resilience under pressure essential
  • Experience in relationship management and have the ability to lead and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Any experience with contract law would be highly beneficial
