Production Coordinator

This role is based in West Yorkshire with a market-leading vehicle builder known for delivering high-quality, specialist vehicles to a diverse customer base. The Production Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Production Manager with all administrative duties related to the scheduling, tracking, and delivery of vehicles. The position demands excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and with external suppliers to ensure a seamless production process.

Key Responsibilities

Upon receipt of each vehicle, the Production Coordinator issues the production build specification pack and distributes it to the relevant Team Leaders. Documentation is labelled, and both seat and chassis labels are created to support tracking through the production line.

A key part of the role involves maintaining and updating the chassis production schedule. All relevant updates must be reflected in the Master Production Schedule (MPS), which is updated daily and frozen weekly to support financial reporting. The coordinator ensures that all stakeholders receive the latest schedule information promptly.

The role also covers the coordination of Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), tachograph installations, and PSM programming.

Final vehicle deliveries are arranged in collaboration with logistics partners. The Production Coordinator prepares all necessary documentation, scans certificates, and assembles the final vehicle book pack. Internal vehicle movements are also tracked with delivery notes.

Customer liaison is another key element, with weekly updates provided to ensure delivery timelines are clear and accurate. The coordinator is also responsible for preparing Stage 2 Certificates of Conformity and managing the scheduling of any third-party fitments during the build process.

Additional duties include supporting general office tasks, covering for absences, answering phones, and assisting visitors as needed.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production or logistics coordination role, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Strong organisational skills, a high level of accuracy, and confidence in using systems such as MPS and Microsoft Office are essential.

Personal Attributes

We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and a dependable team player who can adapt quickly and keep multiple projects on track
