Trainee Accountant
- Annual Salary: £23,000- £25,000
- Location: Brighton
- Job Type: Full-time
Reed Brighton is working with a well-established practice who have been running for over 100 years. They are seeking to add a Trainee Accountant on to their growing team, so this role is ideal for someone who has some practice experience or has started their AAT, ACCA, or ACA studies.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS Returns.
- Providing bookkeeping services using Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and Sage.
- Preparation of sole trader accounts and self-assessment tax returns.
- Preparation of limited company financial statements and corporation tax computations.
- Handling company secretarial filings.
- Liaising with HMRC to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Some practice experience or commencement of AAT, ACCA, or ACA studies.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and Sage.
- Strong understanding of VAT and CIS returns.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaising with HMRC and clients.
- Willingness to learn and develop
