TPF Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation based in Brighton, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager – Finance to join their dynamic finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven finance professional to step into a pivotal role, supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Group's finance function. You’ll play a key part in leading a team of 4, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness across all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance with day-to-day finance operations.

  • Oversee all accounting activities, including responsibility for outsourced payroll.

  • Review and approve purchase invoices, payment runs, and supplier reconciliation.

  • Maintain oversight and responsibility for monthly reconciliation of control accounts for Balance Sheet items, payroll, and fees.

  • Assist in the delivery of monthly management information, including KPIs, to an agreed schedule.

  • Support the budgeting and reforecasting processes on a monthly and annual basis.

RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

  • Is a confident and advanced user of Excel and IT systems, with a proven ability to quickly learn new software.

  • Possesses strong numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.

  • Embraces change and can drive system and process improvements.

  • Has excellent attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.

  • Can manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and undertake ad-hoc projects.

  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.
