Join a dynamic and growing Accountancy practice in Brighton as a Business Services Manager, where your expertise in Accounts and financial reporting will make a real impact.About the RoleAs a Business Services Manager, you will lead on statutory Accounts, management Accounts, and tax returns. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their Accounts are accurate, timely, and compliant.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review Accounts for a portfolio of growing businesses.
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory Accounts, management Accounts, and tax returns.
  • Provide expert advice on Accounts and financial matters to clients.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Accounts and meet client deadlines.
  • Attend client meetings in person and via video link to discuss Accounts performance.
  • Assist with raising fee notes and managing work-in-progress related to Accounts.
  • Support one-off financial and project-based assignments.
  • Motivate, train, and develop Trainees, Seniors, and other Accounts team members.
  • Attend networking events and new client meetings with Fee Earners.
Requirements
  • ACCA or ACA qualified with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in an Accounts or Finance practice.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based Accounts software and other digital tools.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and mentoring Accounts staff.
  • Organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
  • Line management experience in an Accounts environment is desirable.
