The HR Advisor could be based in any of the sites including Brighton (main), Haywards Heath and Worthing, but must be able to travel to all. This is a 6 months temporary ER Advisor focussing on absence management cases which can be hybrid 2 or 3 days on site Full time (37.5 hours per week)

  • Manage a caseload in an advisory capacity ensuring they are handled appropriately and in a timely fashion
  • Prioritise work and follow-up tasks on a daily and ongoing basis, working with the Manager and other key stakeholders to identify and manage changing priorities
  • Timetable cases so that they progress within agreed timescales
  • Support and advise managers dealing with employees with complex sickness/absence, both long and short term, including providing, managers with regular sickness absence reports relating to their individual areas in order to achieve a year on year decrease in sickness rates.
  • To review and analyse provided workforce data, providing a monthly report for designated areas, regarding key workforce KPI's for sickness.
  • To give risk based advice on redeployment, ill health, retirement or termination in line with employment legislation and the organisation's policies.
  • Devise and deliver training to managers on a range of people management topics including skills and HR policies and procedures as required.
  • Lead on the drafting, formulation and implementation new policies and procedures whilst updating existing Polices and Procedures in light of feedback and changing legislation.
