I'm working with a leading University in the South of England who are looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator (Windows).
The role is focused on managing and developing core IT services, with a strong emphasis on Windows Server Environments, Active Directory, Office 365, and backup/ disaster recovery solutions. The position also plays a key part in technical leadership and service improvement across the IT infrastructure team.
?? MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- Microsoft 365 (Office 365) - admin, support, and development
- Exchange / Exchange Online -must have proven experience of migrating Exchange on-premise to Exchange online
- Windows Server - strong hands-on experience
- Active Directory / Azure AD - configuration, support
- Backup systems and disaster recovery processes
- ***Experience working in or with the higher education sector***
??ESSENTIALS:
- Strong communication & problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset
- Experience documenting IT systems & procedures
- Degree in IT (or equivalent experience) or MCSE certification
- Hands-on with at least 3: Exchange, ADFS, Azure AD, Citrix, Office 365, patching, email security
- Familiarity with ITIL or structured service environments

Salary:£40,497- £48,149
