Position Summary:
Working at our site in east Brighton, you will process requisitions, purchase orders and internal transfers. From creation, to cost amendments, queries and invoices, you will work to fulfil customer demand. You will work alongside logistics and engineering teams and be in regular contact with off-site expeditors and buyers. For urgent requests you will also be in direct contact with vendors to expedite material.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Analysis and Conversion of Purchase Requisitions
* Part number record creation and maintenance
* Maintenance of Source Lists and monitoring Purchasing Info Records
* Order Book management covering PO queries, cost amendments and other issues
* Managing shortages, critical spares and feeding back delivery dates to internal partners.
* Maintain a professional demeanour that reflects commitment to quality, continuous improvement, diversity, and respect for individuals.
* Comply with all quality and safety requirements.
* Follow systems and procedures outlined by company / project manuals.
* Mitigate UMD Liquidated Damages (penalties for nil stock items and unsatisfied demand). Regular Material classification review.
* Material ordering & reordering MRP (Product & NPR) in line with appropriate specified processes.
* Monitor stock movement & behaviour and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock demands are successfully met.
* Producing daily information/ feedback to Materials Manager, Engineering & Production teams.
Personal Profile:
* Previous experience in a fast-paced Warehouse environment
* Basic PC skills, i.e: Microsoft work/excel
* Previous experience with SAP and/or Maximo systems would be advantageous
* Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize tasks
* Fluent in English with good communication skills
