Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals to pupils and staff
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with school and statutory requirements
- Set up and clear down the dining area before and after service
- Operate tills and assist pupils during meal times if required
- Carry out cleaning duties including washing up, sanitising surfaces and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure efficient and smooth-running meal service
- Previous catering or kitchen experience
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with pupils in a polite, friendly manner
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- An enhanced DBS check will be required
