Audit & Accounts Senior / Manager

Location: Bristol

Are you a qualified or QBE accountant with strong audit experience, looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety, and progression?  Whether you’re looking for a mixed role across audit, accounts, and tax, or a position that focuses purely on audit, my client has a fantastic opportunity for you.

About the Role

This established and growing firm is looking for a skilled professional to join their team in a flexible audit-focused role.  You’ll either take on a 50/50 split of audit and general practice work or focus purely on audit, depending on your strengths and preferences.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience, and confident managing client relationships, leading audits, and reviewing accounts.

What you will be doing

  • Leading audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies
  • Supporting corporate and personal tax compliance where relevant
  • Managing client relationships and mentoring junior staff
  • Working closely with partners and the wider management team

What my client is looking for

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE
  • Strong audit experience (essential)
  • Practice background with experience across audit, accounts, and tax (for mixed role)
  • Confident managing jobs and communicating directly with clients
  • Ideally 5–6 years post-qualified experience for top-end salary bracket
