Description
- Create precise sales invoices by gathering and verifying data according to invoicing schedules.
- Match recorded support hours with contract terms to ensure accurate billing.
- Collaborate with Locality Managers weekly to confirm hours of support provided for correct invoicing.
- Address and resolve billing and payment issues with Local Authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain high accuracy of contract information within the management system.
- Utilise digital tools like Microsoft Excel and SharePoint to enhance finance process efficiency.
- Contribute to the documentation and ongoing improvement of income operation procedures.
- Perform credit control tasks in line with organisational policies to ensure timely debt collection.
- Keep the sales ledger's outstanding days to an average of 25 days.
- Accurately allocate and match incoming payments to minimise discrepancies.
- Complete month-end closing tasks within 2 working days to support accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial reports by providing precise income-related data.
Profile
The successful Finance Officer should have:
- AAT qualifications are preferable, or similar.
- Proven experience in a finance role within a not-for-profit organisation
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A strategic mindset and problem-solving skills
