A well-established and expanding organisation in the health care sector is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join its Finance team. This senior leadership role focuses on leading finance operations through periods of change and transformation. You'll manage a sizeable team and collaborate across functions to drive process improvement, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead finance-related transition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 20, with 4 direct reports, overseeing a range of finance transformation activities.
  • Oversee balance sheets, month-end processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting from a general ledger perspective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute finance integration and improvement strategies.
  • Drive transformation initiatives to enhance finance systems, workflows, and processes.
  • Manage timelines and ensure quality delivery across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 7-10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing medium to large finance teams.
  • Strong expertise in finance operations, including balance sheet management, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience in finance transformation or process improvement is highly desirable.
  • Able to operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment with both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement.
