An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a dynamic, fast-paced business in Bristol. This assignment is ideal for a technically strong accountant who thrives in a hands-on role and can quickly add value during a critical period.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the delivery of month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes
Preparing statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring robust financial controls
Assisting with VAT, tax and compliance reporting
Supporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
Providing ad hoc financial insight and analysis as required

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
Proven experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (FRS 102 / IFRS)
Immediately available or available at short notice
Hands-on, detail-oriented and adaptable to a changing environment
Strong Excel and systems experience (experience with ERP systems desirable)
