The Hays Bristol finance team are exclusively working with an outstanding charitable organisation, a market leader in its sector, who are going through an exciting period of transformation and change. The senior leadership team are looking to bring in an interim financial controller to support the CFO to review & process and improve critical areas of the business (income, AR & AP specifically) as well as support a system update internal & any challenges this may present. We are looking to interview as soon as next week and the role could start this month, with the view of the initial time frame being 3-6 months (flexible), to offer some immediate support to the senior leadership team & also help them plan longer-term. This role would be paid on a day-rate basis (inside or IR35 as it's managing a team) and the preference for the client is 2 days a week on site in Bristol, but this can be negotiable.

  • We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically sound.
  • Experience in the charitable experience would be desirable & advantageous.
  • It is essential you are personable & can bring a positive attitude to the team to help drive culture within the business.
  • Reporting to the CFO, you will have 4 direct reports and overall a team of roughly 16.
  • Ability to review & drive process improvement
  • Lead from the front
  • Ability to deliver & review information to senior stakeholders
