A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking Skilled Aircraft Fitters to join its production team at a major UK site. The role involves working on a range of aircraft projects, including military platforms, in a hands-on, technical capacity.
Key Duties
- Interpret engineering instructions and technical drawings
- Perform fitting tasks using hand and power tools (e.g., drilling, shimming, sealing)
- Certify completed work following training
- Work in confined spaces and at height as required
Essential Criteria
Qualifications:
- Completed apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC)
Experience:
- Previous experience in fitting or assembly roles
- Skilled in using hand tools
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment medical
- BPSS clearance required (processed by employer)
- Mandatory training provided prior to starting
