Are you an experienced Repair Design Engineer looking to contribute your expertise within the dynamic aviation industry? Our client is seeking a talented Repairs Engineer to join their team in Filton, on a long term contract.
As a Repairs Engineer, you will be responsible for authoring, leading, and executing repair tasks within a small, dedicated team. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and repair principles, you will be instrumental in evaluating customer requests, devising innovative solutions, and providing comprehensive structural repair support.
Key Responsibilities of the Repairs Engineer:
- Evaluate daily customer requests regarding structural damage on in-service aircraft
- Describe all actions needed to repair aircraft via Structural Repair Instructions
- Provide Structural Repair Support, utilising your technical expertise to address complex issues
- Investigate and identify similar previous repair cases to ensure consistent, well-informed support
- Liaise effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Assist in creating and refining generic repair procedures to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure all structural repairs meet stringent regulatory and safety standards
To excel in this Repairs Engineer role, you will possess:
- Proficiency in aircraft structures, with a focus on Airbus structures
- Expertise in aircraft structural repair principles, both metallic and composite
- In-depth knowledge of metallic and composite materials
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer orientation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Due to this position being a contract role, there are both PAYE and Umbrella rates available. Once settled into the role you will be able to go onto hybrid working where you will be required onsite 60% of the time.
