Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Quality Specialist to provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Compliance Monitoring within the MOD Information Services Portfolio. This role will be based in Bristol or Milton Keynes, UK, with hybrid working options and potential travel to other sites as required. The position is a maternity cover, supporting a Defence Digital Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary QA contact for nonconformities and corrective actions within assigned programmes.
  • Support bids and proposals using Early Quality Involvement (EQI) criteria.
  • Plan and support key customer and supplier joint management meetings.
  • Conduct internal audits in line with the annual audit plan.
  • Manage nonconformance processes, including Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and verification.
  • Collect and present data for Corrective Action Boards (CABs).
  • Assist with external audits and ensure hardware and software compliance with relevant standards.
  • Participate in Engineering Gate Reviews within allocated programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Lead and WCPQ function to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Background in Quality Assurance Management with engineering lifecycle knowledge.
  • Experience within the Aerospace or Defence sector (preferred).
  • HNC in Aerospace/Engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  • Lead/Internal Auditor certification (AS9100 / ISO9001).
  • Familiarity with MAA Regulations and Defence Standards.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management techniques and Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Strong IT skills.

  • Candidates must have legal authorisation to work in the UK, the client will not provide sponsorship.
  • The role requires the ability to obtain UK security clearance (UK Citizenship required).
