Job Description:Hays Education is seeking a passionate and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in their early learning stages at schools in Bristol. This is a part-time position, with morning hours only, focusing on nurturing young children and supporting their developmental needs in a positive, engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and educational activities tailored to the needs of early years students.
  • Work with small groups or individual children to enhance their learning experiences and encourage their development.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Encourage children's social and emotional development, promoting positive interactions and self-confidence.
  • Support children with basic tasks such as reading, writing, and creative activities.
  • Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Observe and track the development of children, offering feedback to teachers and parents.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in early years or in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to supporting children's learning.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
  • Level 2/3 Early Years Education qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
