Reports to: Group Finance Director

About the Role:

Robert Half are partnering with a manufacturing business in Bristol to recruit a qualified and experienced Cash Manager. This hands-on role is pivotal to the company's cash control operations and requires an individual with strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and high levels of discretion.

Cash Management and Forecasting

  • Oversee and maintain group cash across multiple sites within facility limits
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly site-specific cash flow forecasts
  • Update cashflow reports daily using bank statements
  • Issue daily cash positions to Group Managing Director and Group Finance Director
  • Manage and authorise daily payments in line with site-specific schedules
  • Monitor and maintain standing orders, direct debits, and short-term funding needs via Barclays Sales Finance
  • Ensure timely drawdowns and accurate weekly availability reporting

Payment & Compliance

  • Ensure all payments comply with agreed payment terms and internal controls
  • Maintain fraud-prevention processes and audit readiness
  • Reconcile cash monthly and report site-by-site closing balances

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in cash management in a multi-site or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting disciplines: financial accounting, compliance, forecasting, and systems development
  • Intermediate Excel skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs) are essential
  • Confident using accounting software; comfortable with MS Office (Word & Excel)
  • Experience working in privately-owned or SME environments is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
