A growing UK-based business is looking for experienced Finance Manager to support the delivery of core financial operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Reporting to a Head of Finance, you'll lead a team of 7-8 finance professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while driving continuous improvement in processes and controls.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and enjoys mentoring a team while maintaining strong technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of 7-8 accountants responsible for core finance tasks.
  • Oversee general ledger activities including balance sheet ownership, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and adherence to internal controls.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure best practices are consistently applied.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and process improvements.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA - with 3-5+ years experience in finance operations.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
  • Solid technical grounding in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business environment.
