Morgan McKinley are pleased to be supporting our client in North Bristol who are hiring for an Indirect Tax Manager.

This position is the first hire into the Tax team reporting into the Group Tax Manager.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage VAT, sales tax, and other indirect tax compliance processes, including partial exemption and nexus evaluations.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of indirect tax compliance in new and existing international markets.
  • Ensure accurate tax treatment across products, services, and contractual arrangements; prepare documentation to support compliance positions.
  • Lead responses to indirect tax audits and inquiries, working directly with external advisors and tax authorities as needed.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and health checks to identify and remediate compliance risks.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support business initiatives.
  • Provide strategic indirect tax guidance on new commercial ventures, product launches, and market expansions.
  • Support due diligence and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations from an indirect tax perspective.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a robust tax governance and reporting framework in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review indirect tax cash flow forecasts and related assumptions to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain and reconcile indirect tax-related general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting indirect taxes and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.
