A fast-growing, private equity-backed business headquartered in Bristol is looking to appoint an ambitious Indirect Tax Manager to support its continued UK and international expansion.

This is a newly created and commercially visible role, offering broad exposure across UK and international VAT compliance, strategy, and advisory. It’s a rare opportunity to shape the tax agenda within a dynamic and scaling environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Take full ownership of UK and international indirect tax compliance and reporting.
  • Act as an internal advisor to Finance, Commercial and Operations teams on the VAT implications of new products, contracts, and cross-border transactions.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Design and embed tax governance frameworks, ensuring robust risk management.
  • Support international market entry and M&A activity from an indirect tax standpoint.
  • Drive process improvement and leverage technology for better reporting and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant and/or tax accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with post-qualification experience in industry or practice (Big Four or leading mid-tier firm).
  • Strong UK VAT knowledge; international tax exposure is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial mindset, strong technical foundations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
