GRADUATE ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT - Competitive Salary + Benefits - Bristol

Penguin Recruitment is excited to be working with a highly respected environmental and engineering consultancy who are seeking a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join their Bristol office. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in a supportive, forward-thinking company delivering a wide range of high-profile projects across the UK.

The RoleAs a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will:

  • Assist with environmental noise surveys, measurements, and data analysis

  • Support senior team members with acoustic modelling using industry-standard software (e.g. CadnaA, SoundPLAN)

  • Contribute to technical reports and noise impact assessments for infrastructure, transport, and industrial developments

  • Gain familiarity with key guidance and standards such as BS5228, BS4142, and DMRB/CRT

  • Carry out site visits and liaise with clients, planners, and other project stakeholders

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental, planning, and engineering specialists

Requirements

  • Degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics, or a related field

  • Strong interest in environmental acoustics and noise control

  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and progress towards professional membership (IOA or similar)

  • Full UK driving licence (advantageous)
