Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading environmental and engineering consultancy who are looking to recruit a Graduate Acoustic Consultant for their established office in Bristol. This is a fantastic opening for a motivated graduate to begin their career in a supportive consultancy delivering a wide portfolio of exciting projects across the UK.

Position Overview

Working from the Bristol office, you will:

Take part in noise surveys, on-site measurements, and acoustic data analysis.
Assist senior consultants with noise modelling using software such as SoundPLAN and CadnaA.
Contribute to the preparation of reports and environmental noise assessments for transport, industrial, and infrastructure schemes.
Build knowledge of key technical standards, including BS5228, BS4142, and DMRB/CRT.
Carry out site visits and liaise with clients, planners, and stakeholders.
Work closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines including engineering, environmental, and planning teams.

Candidate Profile

The successful Graduate Acoustic Consultant will have:

A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics, or a similar subject.
A genuine interest in environmental acoustics and noise assessment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Motivation to work towards professional membership of the IOA (or equivalent).
A full UK driving licence (advantageous).
