Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Developer to join our growing team in Bristol. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in .NET development, who also enjoys leading others and taking responsibility for technical delivery from start to finish.

You’ll be working across the full development lifecycle, helping shape technical solutions, mentoring developers, and ensuring that projects are delivered to a high standard. You’ll also play a key role in decision-making around architecture and best practices.

This is a hybrid role, with two days a week required in our Bristol office and the rest working remotely.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading a team of developers and helping them grow through support and mentoring.
  • Taking a hands-on role in designing, building, and maintaining applications using the .NET stack.
  • Overseeing the full software development process — from initial requirements through to delivery and support.
  • Working closely with colleagues across product, QA, and infrastructure to ensure solutions are well designed and meet business needs.
  • Helping define and uphold coding standards and development best practices.
  • Making key architectural decisions and contributing to long-term technical direction.
  • Supporting deployments and integrations using Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Reviewing code, encouraging knowledge sharing, and promoting continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong, hands-on experience with .NET / C# and modern development practices.
  • A track record of leading technical teams and delivering successful software projects.
  • Confidence in managing the end-to-end development lifecycle.
  • Practical experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile working, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Bonus points for experience with containers (e.g. Docker), automated testing, or infrastructure as code.

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid working – two days per week in our central Bristol office, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Why Work With Us?

  • A supportive, inclusive team environment with a strong engineering culture.
  • Interesting projects that make a real impact.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
