We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent school in Bristol for a Biology Teacher to join their thriving science department from September. This is a full-time role covering the entire academic year, with potential for extension.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will teach Biology across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate students. You’ll be involved in planning, preparation, marking, and departmental activities, contributing to the continued success of the science faculty.
Key Responsibilities:-
Teach Biology from KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons

Mark and assess student work in line with school and exam board expectations

Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources

Support student progress, offering guidance and intervention as needed

Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department and across the school

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Biology or a related subject

Experience teaching Biology up to A-Level

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

A commitment to high standards and inclusive teaching

Experience in an independent school is desirable but not essential
