Melbreck are working with a world leader who specialise in the design and manufacture of specialist systems for the aerospace sector, and they have been in business for over 75 years.
Due to having a great start to 2025 and as part of their strategic succession planning, they are looking to increase their technical capabilities, and as such are looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join their team ASAP,

Systems Engineer Role Overview:
As a systems engineer you will be responsible for researching, analysing, designing, and testing component parts, processes and systems to develop new and improve core products.
You will also be developing and recommending solutions to engineering requirements for complex or specialized projects or systems, to ensure that design objectives are met, including program scope, cost and schedule constraints.

Systems Engineer Role Responsibilities:
Analyse customer requirements / requests and create design proposals both from scratch and adapting existing designs.
Capture requirements, writing system and sub-system specifications and descriptions. Model solutions. Deliver design reviews.
Validate design solutions.
Create verification specifications, procedures and scripts, running testing and creating test reports. Bring system components together and integrate.
Participate and collaborate on design proposals to meet customer requests.
Provide face to face support to customer with issues with current designs, negotiation of new solutions, test rig and aircraft ground test support.

Systems Engineer Candidate Requirements:
Bachelors degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in an engineering or science technical discipline.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 4-6 years of related experience.
Knowledge of the aerospace product area and domain and develops breadth of knowledge of industry practices, techniques, regulations, and policies.
Proficient with engineering design and analysis tools.
General Understanding of the principles of Systems Engineering with experience of working in the aerospace field.
Able to manage demands from all levels of customer interaction and to present in English to all audiences.
Ability to travel when required to US locations and elsewhere to support aircraft and customers.

Systems Engineer Hours and Benefits:
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
Up to 10% bonus
Up to 15% pension
