Job Title: Enterprise Power BI Development Lead

Hybrid: once a month onsite

Location: Bristol, Reading, Basingstoke, or Peterborough

Salary: £90K - £110K + up to 15% bonus

A leading Financial Services platform-based business are seeking an experienced Enterprise Power BI Development Lead to oversee and plan the design and delivery of a cloud-based Power BI solution.

This greenfield role involves creating and embedding standards across all accounts, ensuring robust controls and governance for accurate and timely data. You will lead a team in the UK and offshore to understand business requirements and translate data into reporting dashboards and solutions, supporting better decision-making and aligning with our company model.

Enterprise Power BI Development Lead Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a dedicated development team in the UK and off shore
  • Design and structure the Microsoft cloud solution in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Produce automated MI, reporting, and dashboard delivery in Power BI.
  • Manage performance and development of direct reports.
  • Improve operational efficiency and productivity through standardisation and automation.
  • Understand stakeholder needs and desired outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain documentation related to Power BI solutions.
  • Support the delivery of the Enterprise MI, Planning, and Insights strategy.

Enterprise Power BI Development Lead Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a similar role within financial services, pensions, investments, or insurance.
  • Experience leading remote functions across multiple locations.
  • Proven track record of implementing and embedding new working models.
  • Strong knowledge of database design and management in a cloud environment (Azure or AWS with Microsoft Fabric).
  • Knowledge of security and database maintenance.
  • Expertise in Power BI, including analytical and data visualisation techniques.
  • Experience with model optimisation and performance tuning in Power BI.
  • Configuration and management of Power BI tenants.
